SUPPORT FOR AIRSPACE DEVELOPMENT AND RECOMMENDATIONS OVER NUCLEAR FACILITIES

This project involved in-depth studies of airspace, airspace development, and recommendations for restricted airspace over certain Department of Energy (DOE) facilities. Traffic flows of military, air carrier, and general aviation aircraft and the impact on these airspace users were considered prior to making recommendations for airspace blocks. After the airspace was developed, numerous public hearings were organized and held to determine perceived and actual impact on the flying public.
