SECURITY HELICOPTER OPERATIONS, TRAINING, AND SAFETY EVALUATION SUPPORT

Aviation Security and Task-Oriented Pilot Training were the major tasks for this project for the DOE. A WMA Senior Associate was involved in aviation safety and procedural evaluations in the areas of ground operations, aviation maintenance, and equipment appropriateness and maintenance. Adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations under the appropriate sub-part, qualifications and duties of technicians, pilot duties and qualifications, and adherence to and appropriateness of operations manuals were other points of evaluation. One of the major tasks was to develop a Job Task Analysis document. From this document, development and publication of a Pilot Training Manual covering specific tactical operations was accomplished.
